 An Add-on Bar button lets you control AVIM’s basic options. It tells you the current input method; when AVIM is off, the input method name is crossed out.

 Firefox 29 and above no longer have an Add-on Bar, so AVIM automatically adds a button to the toolbar.

 AVIM works in every text box in the application, including the in-page find bar.

 AVIM is also compatible with many Web applications, such as Office Web Apps.
