This guide goes through the definition of a few terms that pertain to DK64 Randomizer, whether it helps you understand how to parse a seed, or various pieces of terminology used in restreams

Definitions

Term	Definition
Altatweet	Various tweets composed by DK64 Randomizer player Altabiscuit describing various comical scenarios a player might come across. Altatweets are as follows: 1. Unhinted Medal is Way of the Hoard. Link 2. Super Duper Simian Slam is Way of the Hoard. Link 3. Thinking you are in go mode, but missing Key 7, which is required for Helm Entry. Link 4. A gun being Way of the Hoard, solely for completing a minigame where the gun requirement can be bypassed by usage of Tag Anywhere. Link 5. Forgetting to tag the far blue bananaport in Frantic Factory (but can be extended for forgetting any warp). Link 6. Exiting a level to go check an important location, only to immediately forget about said location. Link 7. Finally unlocking the final hint with progressive hints enabled, only for it to hint an item that would be almost impossible to still be unobtained. Link
Async	Abbreviation of "asynchronous", which refers to a race where participants don't race at the same time. This allows others who either have busy schedules or are in less-populated timezones to compete in the same races as others. For additional info, read this article.
Beanlievers	Viewers or participants who think a seed is going to require the bean to be obtained to beat the seed.
Blitz Tournament	A periodic community event where an entire tournament is run within one week. It usually begins with a single qualifier and runs the top finishers from that seed through a single-elimination bracket.
Boulder Tech	Some sort of boulder manipulation to go "Out of Logic" in some way. Most commonly achieved by utilizing the boulder as an elevated platform to reach something higher up.
Casino	An item that is required to beat the seed that is not hinted in any capacity through the various hint methods.
Cave Game	An informal term used to describe Donkey Kong 64, referring to the game's many glitches, quirky mechanics and ease of ability to accidentally clip through a wall.
CB	Abbreviation of "Colored Banana".
Check of Legends	The item that spawns on the top floor of the Giant Mushroom, which requires each kong's gun switch to be activated in order to spawn the cannons.
KEVIN	Abbreviation of "Keiper's Extraordinary Very Interesting Nice (Settings)", which is a preset which uses spoiler hints to denote how many items are in certain levels through special trackers. Also used as the name for Diddy's Kasplat in Galleon near the Lighthouse.
Know Mode	The restream, through knowledge gained by watching the two players featured on the restream, knows the location of every unique item required to beat the seed.
Lobby Check of Legends	Isles Battle Arena 2, which is the crown pad in the Fungi Forest lobby, which requires all 5 guns and Gorilla Gone.
GB	Abbreviation of "Golden Banana".
Go Mode	A player has all unique items required to beat a seed, and only needs to go through Helm, K. Rool and perhaps collect some golden bananas to beat the seed.
Jet seed	A very quick seed, often having very few moves on the Way of the Hoard.
LZR	Abbreviation of "Loading Zone Randomizer", which is a setting in which you randomize which entrance/exit leads to which other entrance/exit.
NSAK	Abbreviation of "No Style, All Keys", which is a preset which contains a lot of location randomizers, and is based around obtaining all 8 keys to beat the seed.
Out of Logic	Performing a check to obtain it's item without obtaining the moves that are required to obtain it according to the logic system for the randomizer. For example, the Kasplat in Japes underground requires Pineapple and Vines to cross the gap, however, those two moves can be bypassed by using Ponytail Twirl to cross the gap instead.
TA	Abbreviation of Tag Anywhere.
Tag Anywhere	The ability to change the kong by pressing D-Pad left or right.
Vin Diesel%	When you have obtained all 5 members of the Kong Family. Because "Family is everything".
WotH	Abbreviation of Way of the Hoard.
Way of the Hoard	Required to beat the seed.
