Usage of SteroscoPy

Just to let you know how I use this module:
My use case is "transcoding" historic stereograms into more or less modern formats and presentation forms, example scroll to the bottom of the page, you can certinly indetify the functionality provided by StereoscoPy. Some notes:

• You can change the mode anaglyph by clicking
• You can see the deepth mp in action when moving the mouse on the first singe image (Tab "Einzelbilder", first image)

That's a very nice example, I assume, that you created the frame by hand?

The image warping depends on a depth map, but the quality isn't that good, I use OpenCV to calculate it, but I guess that scratches introduce problems...

For offset prints I smoothen before calculating the alignment and apply the resulting values on the original images.

Oh that's interesting. Hm... wondering now if splitting Anaglyph images is in scope of the project; from and to various formats perhaps, as the current left and right image input and MPO file input are sort of stereoscopic formats in themselves.

I was using the term "format" not in a technical sense, "representation" is certainly what i meant.
I add examples:

Input image, before white balancing

Croped and split

Recreated anaglyph

Wiggle image

Depth map

Note: Images has been aligned after splitting, I use a Hough line detection to determine if it's an offset print to trigger further temporary processing.
