Blocklists to block the communication to social networking sites and privacy harming services

Getting Started

Here are Tutorials where you can learn how to add blocklists to uBlock Origin and Pi-hole:

Prerequisites

What things you need to install the software and how to install them

uBlock Origin / Pi-hole
or any other Software/addon which support 3rd-party blocklists

Installing

Here are the URLs for uBlock Origin / Pi-hole:

Download & Install

uBlock Origin: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/#installation

Pi-hole: https://pi-hole.net/    |    https://github.com/pi-hole/pi-hole/wiki/Getting-Started

And add a list of your choice to your Software/addon

Running the tests

Once you installed your Software successfully and added a blocklist of your choice just go to a URL which should be blocked. You should see a warning or the website could not be reached message. If its the case then you added the blocklist successfully and your Software is working.

Important Information

  • The TikTok and Snapchat blocklists are maintained by me.
  • The other blocklists are mixed/cloned by a few popular blocklists and I dont give any warranty to the blocklists which are not maintained by me.
