Technical Tasks

• Estimation Enhancements
  • Multiprocssing has been implemented
  • Now testing on MTC example dummy model
    • Can now run large dataset w/ multiprocessing (before could not run it at all)
    • Run time under 3 hours with 10 cores
    • Files are large, but new file formats decrease size by up to 40% (converting from "verbose" to "compact")
    • Problematic models are those that have many alternatives
      • Transposing the file helps, but looking into how easy it is to implement
• Larch
  • ActivitySim is now updated to work with Larch v6
  • Larch and ActivitySim are now much more compatible - use same data management
  • Code for Larch 6 is published on Github
    • Not default version yet

  • Continue MTC Testing
  • Continue progress towards SANDAG data run
  • Run Larch notebooks on large MTC EDBs
