Multiselect attribute - shortened values assigned #37

Let's say I have a brands attribute, which is multi select in Akeneo and Magento.

I have values like
Qualiphar, Shampoux, AMP, Ha.

My product has 2 values assigned, Qualiphar and Shampoux. When the pimgento product feed runs, it will assign all 4 values above.

During investigation it shows that it will search for:

Shampoo
Qualiphar
Q
AMP
HA

This is happening during the updateOption step.

Which results in more matches than it should. Why is this happening? And how to resolve it?!
