As part of the Codebascis resume project challenge, I've created a dashboard
The challenge is about the imaginary company called AtliQ Grands which owns multiple Five-Star hotels across India. AtilQ Grands is losing business to competitors due to their management’s ineffective decision-making.
Now AtliQ Grands is losing its market share and revenue in the luxury/business hotels category. The revenue management team has decided to use Business and Data intelligence to identify the gaps and make decisions accordingly.
They are looking for a Data Analyst who can provide them with the relevant insights to help them solve this problem.
- Create the metrics according to the metric list.
- Create a dashboard according to the mock-up provided by stakeholders.
- Create relevant insights that are not provided in the metric list/mock-up dashboard.
Here are some important statistics to consider before diving into visualization:
- AtliQ Grands is a prestigious five-star hotel chain operating across 4 cities.
- The chain comprises seven properties, with branches in all four cities.
- Accommodations within these properties are classified into four categories: Elite, Premium, Presidential, & Standard.
- Room bookings are facilitated through six main platforms, each playing a crucial role in the hotel's operations.
Based on the Dataset:
- AtliQ Exotica led among all seven property types, with $320 million revenue, a rating of 3.62, and 57% occupancy.
- Mumbai led in revenue generation with $669M, followed by Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Delhi.
- Delhi ranked highest in both occupancy and rating, followed by Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
- May led in revenue generation with $582M, followed by July and June month.
- Week 24 had the highest number of bookings with 11K, generating a revenue of $140M and achieving an occupancy rate of 62%.
- AtliQ Seasons had the lowest revenue at $66M, with an occupancy of 45% and an average rating of 2.29.
