For 0.1.0, the first non-alpha release, we aim to have the Java compatibility test pass for all entities. At the time of writing, the only protocol feature not yet working correctly are records. For the initial scope, parsing and serializing of record batches will likely not be included, rather these fields will just be treated as arrays of bytes.
