How to Have a House Meeting

House meetings are a useful habit for a home to come together, to talk about decisions, to tell each other about projects we want to work on or are working on or will work on, and ask for help.

Whoever is currently the house captain holds the meeting, or can ask any previous house captain.

  • Arcology is a sustainable autonomous community hyperbuilding. Everything is an experiment, including this description. We will never get it done, and we can't get it wrong.
  • Call to order, bang the hammer
  • Note taker begins
  • Play a game: rose, thorn, rosebud (notetaker just records everyone's names)
  • Note summarizes the minutes of the last house meeting
  • Ongoing projects
    • anyone can say what they are working on at Arcology
  • New projects, improvements, things we should discuss
    • Anyone can propose / re-propose
  • Announcements (anyone can make)
  • Q&A (anyone can ask anyone else any question)
  • Adjourn, bang the hammer
