Notice - Diagnostic work in progress

We are progressing the Diagnostic Report FHIR Implementation via the Diagnostics in FHIR R4 - June 30 project

The Diagnostic Report FHIR Implementation guide is an Australian realm implementation guide of the HL7TM FHIR® specification to represent a diagnostic report including pathology, imaging, and specialist and other diagnostics reporting.

The specific use cases include:

  • point to point support of a diagnostic report from a diagnostic provider
  • exchange of atomic diagnostic results in a diagnostic report
  • diagnostic provider (pathology, diagnostic imaging or other diagnostic provider) sending diagnostic report to the My Health Record.

Future work

So many exciting things to be done...

  • Medications profiles (e.g. Base Medication)
  • Summary profiles (e.g. Summary of Allergy or Intolerance)
  • Compositions: Event Summary, Discharge Summary, Shared Health Summary, Shared Medicines List, Prescription and Dispense List
  • Supporting a co-authored, shared, living lists: medicines, allergies
