This project hosts a web-based psychological experiment designed for participants to act as space rescuers. Participants are tasked with analyzing radio transmission sequences to distinguish between natural phenomena and human-generated signals. The experiment utilizes the jsPsych library to present the stimuli and collect responses.
Display of randomized scenarios based on a space rescue theme. Collection of demographic data from participants. Presentation of radio wave sequences for participants to rate their randomness. Data collection in CSV format for easy analysis. Getting Started These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.
A modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari). A local server environment (e.g., Apache, Nginx) or IDE with live server capabilities (e.g., Visual Studio Code with Live Server extension). Ensure the jspsych-6.3.1 folder contains all the necessary jsPsych library files and plugins. Running the Experiment To run the experiment:
Open the cloned project in your local server environment or IDE. Navigate to the index.html file and open it in a web browser. The experiment should start, presenting the instructions, followed by the experiment itself. Structure index.html: The main HTML file containing the experiment setup. jspsych-6.3.1/: Directory containing the jsPsych library and its plugins. css/jspsych.css: The stylesheet for jsPsych elements.
