gbXML (green building XML schema) is an industry-supported schema for sharing building information between a broad range of building design software tools. It is a type of XML file that has over 500 types of elements and attributes that allow you to describe all aspects of a building. gbXML eliminates the need to re-enter the same building data and information over and over again into multiple building analysis tools. Please find out more about gbXML here: http://www.gbxml.org/.

XML_Toolkit helps you to generate a cleaner and better quality of gbXML files.

Here you can find all necessary information about gbXML and how it interacts with the BHoM via the XML_Toolkit.

gbXML and XML_Toolkit 🎶

XML_Toolkit is set up to help you by generating cleaner and better quality gbXML files. The Green Building XML schema (gbXML) is an open schema developed to facilitate transfer of building data stored in Building Information Models (BIM) to engineering analysis tools. gbXML eliminates the need to re-enter the same building data and information over and over again into multiple building analysis tools. gbXML is being integrated into a range of software CAD and engineering tools and supported by leading 3D BIM vendors. Please find out more about gbXML here: http://www.gbxml.org/
