The reason the Communication window is modal is because the client communication has been initiated in response to a user action, and the Manager wants to wait for the response to be able to update the UI accordingly before allowing further interaction. Ideally the client would respond quickly, and the Communication window would be displayed only briefly (if at all). If client communication is taking so long that you find yourself wanting to minimise the main window and do something else until it completes, it would be worth diagnosing the root cause of the delay. |
