There are formulas to compute rayleigh scattering based on polarizabilities of air molecules.

This opens a way to generate the scattering coefficients dynamically based on the air composition of each planet, which will be necessary to get diverse vistas and alien colors.

There is probably similar formulas for Mie scattering and ozone absorption
