Golden Whistle (Horse Whistle)
The Golden Whistle (also known as the Horse Whistle) is a craftable item that is used to command your horse to follow you. By default it has a 2000 block range and will give your horse immunity while it's actively following you (these can be changed in the configuration)

Right Click the whistle on the horse that you want to command (this can be changed at any time, just use on another horse) and then any time after that when you right click with the whistle you can either command the horse to follow you or to stay. You can check the state of your registered horse by hovering over the item in your inventory. It will also tell you the name of the horse that you have "tagged".
