Upstream source text? #1

There is no "upstream." I did collect texts, but the source here is
intended to match visual scans of the DRC1750 (but that zero isn't
specifically THE DRC1750, just a placeholder, and probably eventually more
specific to the DRC1752). This repository is "the source" for a DRC1750,
and not the output of a algorithm on a DRC1899, which was the text from
which it is derived. there will be no upstream changes that trickle down to
this repository.
That said, if you're looking at taking this repository up, feel free to
take it on and make any changes you deem. When I return to biblical texts,
the Basic English Bible in its original form and several 1990s era public
domain works will be my focus. I hope someday to loop back around to the
CPDV, but while the DRC1750 or 1752 has a place on my list, I have no
realistic expectation that it will ever be much besides a comparison
backstop for the CPDV and source for peripheral text like notes
introductions and chapter summaries.
The text itself came from Ron Conte's site, but checked against text from
the internet archive.
http://www.sacredbible.org/challoner/index.htm.
However, Conte sought to match the 1899 printing. I have sought to match
the 1750 and not a 1899 printing, and have made changes to this text
toward that end. (the most notable is specific to the start of chapter 8 in
one of the prophetical books if I remember right. but there are (or might
be) many minor adjustments to titles, commas through the work. It was a 3
or four works open at once process: CPDV, Haydock Study Bible, DRC1750
(this archive), Another DRC, and NAB/Confraternity, in which my primary
focus was finding and fixing issues with the CPDV, but the DRC was also
checked and I did make at least some changes.) The checks were for verse
integrity, capitalization, punctuation, repeating words, (possibly other
items.) These checks likely aren't complete. check the status file (or if
it's not present I will upload it.)
The peripheral text (chapter summaries, footnotes if the DRC1750 has
them) came from my own work starting from the internet archive (several
sources, I don't currently have postable links but searching Haydock Bible
on the archive will result in the sources.)
Eventually I might be able to act on this to provide detailed bibliography
within the work. However, I enter the workplace within a week as a mail
carrier, which in the US is a long hours job, and will leave little time
for Biblical texts for a while.
