I think a cool idea would to have a free demo version of the game. This could have only preset colours and a small range of bricks (maybe like the original version just 2x2,1x4,1x1 and 2x4). The building area could also be limited to like 30x30x30 studs. Plus, all worlds could be local and therefore single player. However, another cool thing that you could do with this is run build competitions for keys to the full game. For example there could be a submit build button somewhere which would automatically upload a bunch of pictures of the world to somewhere where it could be voted on by other people. The most popular world's owner would get a key to the full game. Not only would this build more excitement for the game and potentially bring in more people, you could also get more sales as people get to see how cool it is, want to build bigger, better worlds with their friends and buy the full game.
