Inclement Emerald 1.7.1
This is a small bug fix release with following changes:
- Fix recoil moves showing recoil damage when zero damage was dealt
- Fix the stat change animation showing the wrong colour when a damaging move changed a stat stage
- Update Ivy's text to reflect recent changes to the IV system
From the Battle Engine:
- Fix the safari zone
- Implement Gulp Missile (no, you still can't get Cramorant, but it's now fully functional if you get one by cheating)
Inclement Emerald 1.7
This release revamps the IV system, adds a new area, updates a few trainers and Pokémon, and fixes some bugs:
New Features:
-
IV Overhaul
- IVs and EVs can now be viewed on the summary screen. Press A on the stats screen to cycle through them, like so:
- All Pokémon (gifts, wild mons, static encounters) obtained from this version onwards will have at least three perfect IVs. These are chosen randomly. Does not apply to eggs that you've bred, as they inherit IVs like usual, but does apply to gift eggs.
- Vitamins no longer increase EVs by 10. Instead, they increase an IV by 8 (this is also mentioned in their item description)
- Ivy now offers every Hidden Power Type, and charges 3 caps instead of 5 for this service. Note that Hidden Power Dark sets all IVs to 31.
- IVs and EVs can now be viewed on the summary screen. Press A on the stats screen to cycle through them, like so:
-
Altering Cave has been replaced with a new (but probably familiar) map that is home to Mewtwo. There's also another postgame boss fight in there, along with two more Master Balls, and 100% Blissey encounters when using Honey (note that honey does not work on the entrance tile in caves, as those can't spawn wild encounters)
-
Lunatone and Solrock have received some extra stat buffs, and Solrock now learns Solar Blade
-
Wallace, Winona and Flannery have updated teams
-
More Pokémon can learn Fly (Garchomp, Butterfree etc.)
-
Gift Pokémon that can evolve are now three levels lower than your party's highest level

Inclement Emerald 1.6
This release implements some missing moves and abilities and fixes some bugs:
New Features:
- Implemented Parental Bond (this is why this update took so long)
- Updated or added the following move effects: Beat Up, Surging Strikes, Triple Axel, Triple Kick, Water Shuriken, Rapid Spin

- Updated some more learnsets to gen 8 standards
- Changed Mega Kingler's ability to Tough Claws
- Gave Krabby Ice Hammer as an Egg Move
Added Honey Encounters, a hybrid of gen 5's rustling grass and gen 6's horde battles. While standing in grass, you can use Honey (an item you can buy in Pokémon Centers after earning the Stone Badge) to start a wild battle with the Pokémon listed in the Honey section of the encounter tables. These usually have a high chance to be an Audino, which gives out a lot of experience and commonly holds an Oran Berry.

Balance changes
I don't really like nerfing things, so I will only ever nerf things that I've changed, and only if they're genuinely ridiculous. As such, the following changes have been made:
- Big Root's healing boost has been reduced from 100% to 50%. Still much better than the 30% it has in vanilla!
- Sand Song no longer increases the damage of sound moves. Mega Flygon's stats were tuned to make this move about as strong as Mega Salamence's Double-Edge, but as Boomburst is a spread move with no drawbacks, this was a bit silly. Mega Flygon is still very strong after this change, and will not get any further nerfs.
- The Chimchar line's Hidden ability is now Moxie, and its second ability is now Iron Fist. These were swapped to better fit with the other starters, which mostly have their stronger ability as their Hidden Ability. If you're updating to this version and have a Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape with one of these abilities, it WILL be changed. You'll need an Ability Patch to switch back to the ability you used to have.
- The Petilil and Cyndaquil lines have had their level up moves changed to be closer to the vanilla games. This means:
- Lilligant gets Quiver Dance at level 28, which is much more reasonable than on evolution (which is likely about level 16).
- The Cyndaquil line gets Eruption at a higher level (but still lower than in vanilla).
- Reverted changes to Horn Leech; I think this was actually better in vanilla (less damage, more healing)
Inclement Emerald 1.4.1
This is a bug fix release with the following changes:
- Fixed Disguise. The following effects no longer break Disguise:
- Life Orb and other damaging items
- Healing items and moves
- Recoil moves

- Fixed Luck Incense and Amulet Coin not doubling prize money
- Fixed field moves (Dig, Teleport etc.)
- Corrected move tutor compatibility for Slurpuff, Gallade, and the Charmander line
- Alolan forms can now be found in the Safari Zone, as per the docs
Other changes:
- The battle engine was updated, which means Pickpocket and the Sticky Barb now work.
- Added two new documents: Training Guide and Important NPC Guide
Inclement Emerald 1.4
This release makes some significant changes to the early game, adds some QoL and farming/grinding options for those who want them, and fixes some bugs.
New features:
Easy money
- The Pickup table has been adjusted and is now found in the Item Locations document
- Certain wild Pokémon will now commonly hold valuable items like Star Pieces and Pearls. See the Item Locations document for details
EV training rework
- Power items are much cheaper
- Power items give 16 EVs instead of 8
- Power items prevent the holder from gaining EVs from Pokémon - the holder will only get the EVs from the item itself. E.g. KO a Zubat while holding a Power Bracer, gain 16 Attack EVs, 0 speed EVs
- EV berries now have ridiculous yields: 24 - 48 berries per tree
- The girl in the flower shop will give you one of each EV reducing berry at the start of the game. Obviously you should plant these to get more!
More Bottle Caps
- All hidden Heart Scales in the game have been replaced with Bottle Caps
- All Battle Tents now award three Bottle Caps whenever you beat them
- Pokémon found while diving have a high chance of holding coloured Shards, which can be traded for caps
- Caps can now be found when smashing rocks (rarely)
General Changes
- Apricorn Balls can be bought in the Lilycove Department Store
- Going to Slateport before battling Brawly is now required:
- The flash radius in Granite Cave has been increased to make navigating it without Flash easy
- Beating Brawly will cause the Team Aqua Grunts blocking the Museum to disappear
- Brawly's team has been revamped based on this, and is now more appropriate for his level 25 cap
- Existing saves will notice Brawly standing around in Slateport. Talking to him will make him go away and allow access to the Dewford Gym
- Courtney 1, Tabitha 1, Maxie 1 and Flannery now have properly EV trained teams, as EV training is now much easier
- The Exp Share now gives the holder 100% of the exp earned by other Pokémon in battle
- The gift Audino now holds a Lucky Egg. Resetting events will now also reset this event
