This page provides a overview list of the current default modules shipping with AWF.

Communication

VOX

VOX is the manager for selecting, switching between and maintaining communication. Its job is to simulate the role of a communications officer. Attempting to send or transmit your message any which way that could be possible. VOX will relay messages to you as they come in. VOX will do background and automated work to clean up messages from non-digital or automated sources.

VOX is a independent management module. By default, it manages the following sub modules, which are bundled in the public release of AWF.

  • COM-VOICE-VOIP-Mumble Module
  • COM-TEXT-WEB-IRC Module
  • COM-TEXT-CELL-SMS Module
  • COM-NOTF-CELL-NOTFICATIONS Module

If no modules are installed, it waits patiently. If the VOX module is displayed in the sidebar, it will prompts the user to install modules.

VOIP

Mumble is the default back end for the public release of AWF.

WEB TEXT

Text, chat and P2P file transfer is handled by IRC protocol.

CELLUAR

For AWF these sub modules are used as fall back communication system for urban operations when digital link is lost. Also useable by some subsystems as a primary means of communication if set in preferences.
