Teams
Current gameplay is targeting Platoon level combat, that is 30 units or less under command.
Team size for units in combat is battalion vs battalion size (1500 vs 1500 units).
Due to network and hardware limitations, it is expected of this 100, or less, units per side will be human/non AI controlled.
The current build is capable of displaying hundreds of thousands of individual units. With clustering that number is only limited by local hardware and network.
With enough tracked units it is possible to overload local hardware and network. Current software will reduce your polling intervals to match network and demand. However, to maintain a useful level of service you should not provide the software with so much to track, that it takes it minutes to cycle back over your tracked units.
The teams defined by nationality and geo location.
In-game teams are designed to promote a “Us vs Them and Them” attitude. UI design remains the same regardless of country of origin. You will always be BLUFOR in your host country.
