Getting Started

When you first install the Kiosk Client application you will be greeted with our settings page:

This page has a walkthrough you can do by clicking the Begin button. We recommend that you use this walkthrough if you need help, but we've highlighted some important areas below that you should know about.

Generate Example Orchestration File

This area is important when you first load the application because you currently have to have an 2. Orchestration File to tell the application what to display and to customize what is displayed in the Kiosk. The application is designed to read data from either a JSON or XML rather than accept the settings within the application. We designed the program to interact this way to support remote updating of the content. The best way to get started is to generate an example 2. Orchestration File and then edit the file to your needs.

Input mode and File/URL path area

This area has two modes that are toggled by the Input Mode switch. The mode can either be in 1.1 URL mode or 1.2 File Mode.

Log Area

The log area will display all important information and feedback for the application. This will let you know when something goes wrong and provide feedback on successful interactions.
