Is this still useful? There is a MEDIUM_UBUNTU template available in the ec2 cloud configuration.

I suppose, but a typical user will not be mixing different flavors of unix in the same system, IMHO.

I agree with Dewayne. We also need this template in other clouds (at least HP and Rackspace).
