Fix mods from #4 that don't have an apparent active upstream that the bug could be reported to.

README.mdfor explanation on what this actually does and why it's needed/useful. I tried to modularize the structure so that new mod fixes can be easily added/removed in the future without having to fiddle with arrays in config structures.
