Cape Town was the World Design Capital in 2014, and in 2015 was awarded the Telegraph Travel Awards’ “Best City in the World” for the fourth year, the Condé Nast readers choice award in the World’s Best Food Cities list, and the number one place in the category ‘Top Cities in Africa and the Middle East’ in the Travel & Leisure 2016 World’s Best Awards. Cape Town was also announced as the number one city globally for tattoo affordability and studio availability according to the YEAY App and Global Tattoo Index 2016. Use it, don’t use it.

We could go on, but you get the point: you’ll probably want to book a few extra days before or after Media Indaba Africa. There are some tailored tours you might be interested in on our Tours page.

There are a myriad things to do and see in greater Cape Town, and for some options see here goto.capetown/home. But if you’re going to hang around the inner city with us, the bars and restaurants below are where we’ll be. There are dozens of really good restaurants and bars, so think of this as a tasting menu.
