At the DSAC on Wednesday 8th November a proposal for a trial of a Non-functional Requirements working group was discussed.

As a result of that discussion the Data Standards Chair has approved the creation of an advisory group in line with the trial proposal. This proposal is outlined in the attached Noting Paper.

The nominations for individuals to be members of the NFR Consultative Group have been reviewed by the Data Standards Chair and the appointed individuals have been contacted. The first meeting of the group is likely to be held in January. The specific timing is still being determined.

Note that this group is not a decision making body and will be used to focus community consultation in helping prepare decision proposals related to NFRs and other, related, operational issues. These proposals will then be consulted on using the normal process allowing all community members the ability to contribute their feedback before any decisions are made.

Minutes will be published in a similar manner to the minutes of the Data Standards Advisory Committee.
