This happens after I map axes to my G29.
Any advice?

Any particular axes? I just had the chance to play NFS Porsche with my Thrustmaster T300RS GT today, mapped the (separate) pedal axes and an analog handbrake, and the game worked fine.

Are you using any DirectInput wrappers with the game?

I did some more testing. The crash basically happens when I assign any button or axis from the G29 to any action in the game. Once I clear all the assignments from the G29 the game starts fine.
I have no other controllers attached and the G29 is detected correctly in the game's setup screen.
I tried both combined and separate axes for the gas/brake pedals.
I'm using a retail copy of the game with Verok's patch. No other DirectInput wrappers. Running Windows 10.
