SMART is a fully integrated recycling system using AI technologies (machine learning).
SMART Bin, the primary unit of SMART, enables instant sorting of recycling products and remote monitoring of the state of the bin. SMART Bin is written in Python and run on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Raspbian system.
SMART Manager, SMART Collect and SMART User are web and mobile apps that provide a rich UI for viewing usage statistics, bins' state and optimizing the driver's collection route. Processing and storing of data are done on Azure with usage of Azure IoT Hub, Azure Functions, Azure Custom Vision API, Azure Maps API, Azure CosmosDb.
