gpastel doesn't start working until I do gpastel-get-copied-text once #5

First, thanks for sharing gpastel! It's really handy!

However I can never seem to get it going (no matter how many times I call gpastel-mode) until I call the function gpastel-get-copied-text at least once. Then it starts working...

I'm happy you like it.

I don't know about your problem and I'm not using gpastel anymore because of a bug in GPaste. I'm using clipmenu which works better and is much simpler.

Regarding your problem, it might be that gpaste is only started on demand by systemd. In this case, it might be possible that you have to force initialization of gpaste before starting gpastel.

I vaguely recall having {some other, different} problem with clipmenu, but maybe I give it another try.

First, I probably explore your idea about systemd though. That sounds about like the right direction to me.

I appreciate the insight and the support. I'll try and remember to post back if/when I figure it out.
