Updates

Note: No files will be downloaded and installed without your permission! No hidden services will be running! All this feature does is download zip archive from github for you, unpack it and replace old files!

Updates allow you to download update without manually going to the website and downloading the archive. The updates will allways download only files from GitHub. Files downloaded by updater are available here for manual download: https://github.com/Darker/auto-client/releases

Settings

You can set the following things about updates:

• Auto-check - will check for new versions at program startup. Default on.
• Auto-download - downloads new versions without asking. Default off.
• Ignore beta releases - will ignore updates that have -beta suffix or are prereleases. This is on by default to protect you from buggy releases.

Backups

When replacing files, updater will automatically create backup in /updates/backup. If the new updated version doesn't work as you would expect, copy all files from /updates/backup and paste them into the auto client install folder

##When something goes wrong If updates act crazy and you don't know why, try to delete the /updates folder in your auto-client install directory.
