Filter settings not being saved #24
Comments
Pretty sure that even on retail these save client side not server side just like macro's do. Anytime I ever had to reinstall my client I had to redo my filter settings. On retail there was a way to back up and restore these to SE's servers, but that is diff from what happens in the in game menu. We really need someone to look into exactly what needs to happen for this to work when using xiloader instead of pol-viewer to launch FFXI. |
@TeoTwawki Is this still an issue? I have not seen it (unless we are talking about some server account backup/sync). My filters stay in place through logins, unless I go to a different computer (as you stated above, client side saves, so can only work if I copy user profile stuff over) |
@helixhamin there are a ton of in game client settings that don't work or don't save (reset when close and reopen a new client instance) filters to clear out spam during battle is one of them when I checked last. |
Workaround is useing the windower plugin battlemod |
This is still an issue - you can apply filters, however they reset every time you change the zone. |
Hi folks, I guess this is an old one, but I thought i'd take a note on this issue on GitHub. The filter settings for characters reset on every login. I guess there's not tables in the DB that handle this information yet? Cheers.
