For an added challenge, DIM can randomize your loadout, picking from your entire set of equippable items.

Clicking "Randomize" will prompt you for the categories of equipment to randomize -- you can choose to randomize any of:

  • Subclass (including Abilities, Aspects and Fragments in Destiny 2)
  • Weapons
  • Armor
  • Cosmetics (Ship, Sparrow, Ghost, Emblem)
  • Armor mods (Destiny 2 only)

If you search first (in the search bar), the Randomize button will change to "Randomize from Search", and it will only pick random items that match the search. Use this to, say, choose random items matching is:sniperrifle.

The "Create Random" button instead opens the Loadout Drawer with a fully randomized loadout. The Loadout Drawer can also randomize parts of a Loadout (through the "Randomize" button accessible through the three dots in a section) or the entire loadout (through the "Randomize") button at the bottom.
