I bought my Audi A4 B5 2.4 V6 in 2004 and drove it until 2014. After that, I deregistered it but never sold it. In 2017 I registered it again as a second car for my wife (Honestly, it's now registered in my wife's name (so it's no longer mine :-) ). Since then, it hasn't been driven much and has received minimal maintenance.
Recently (May 2024), my wife noticed a rattling sound, and with the upcoming main inspection (in German "Hauptuntersuchung") in June, I decided to take a closer look at the car. This process rekindled my love for it. Given how long I've owned the car, I've decided to restore it with the goal of registering it as a classic car (Oldtimer) in about four years.
To get the car back in top shape, there are several issues I need to address, and I've already started working on some of them. I plan to use this Git repository to document my work. This will serve as a reference for myself and potentially help others as well. I know GitHub isn't the ideal place for this kind of documentation, but I don't want to start a separate blog since this will likely be a one-off post.
