Welcome to VG-Food-Ordering, your one-stop solution for ordering delicious food online!
VG-Food-Ordering is a web-based platform that allows users to browse a variety of food options and place orders from the comfort of their homes. This project is built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and AJAX technologies.

To run this project locally on your XAMPP server, follow these steps:

Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/E-Smarts/VG_Food_Ordering.git

Navigate to the project directory:
cd VG-Food-Ordering

Import the Database:
- Locate the database project zip file provided to you.
- Extract the contents of the zip file.
- Open the XAMPP control panel and start the Apache and MySQL services.
- Access phpMyAdmin (usually at http://localhost/phpmyadmin) in your web browser.
- Create a new database and name it something like
vg_food_ordering
. - Import the SQL file from the extracted database project into your newly created database.

Configure Database Connection:
- In the project directory, find a configuration file (e.g.,
auth/server.php
) that contains database connection details. - Update the database hostname, username, password, and database name to match your local setup.

Start the Local Server:
- Make sure your XAMPP Apache and MySQL services are running.
- Open your web browser and visit
http://localhost/VG-Food-Ordering
to access the website.
- Username:
admin
- Password:
admin
- Users can register on the website to create their accounts.
- After registration, they will receive a username and password.
- Use the provided username and password to log in as a user.
