Background

As part of quick start observability, we decided to automate the process of creating alerts metrics in newrelic using CloudFormation template. This template can be modified by application team to define the condition they would like to monitor

Proposed Approach

Created a newrelic custom resource in the quick account, this approach then allows us to use CloudFormation to deploy our conditions.

The allows for instant alerting on the infrastructure status immediately after standing up the infrastructure
