Welcome to FSG Mod Assistant 5.1.3

This is a tiny update that adds proper support for FS25 (including detection of 25 mods)

This is a backend update, and adds support for the upcoming FS25 - note that most of the FS25 extras (base game stuff) will not hit until the upcoming 6.0.0 release sometime next week.

New Documentation!! (Last full update: 5.1.0) Check it out!

Special Note

The configuration file format has slightly changed for Mod Assistant - downgrading is still possible, but you will need to reset your game and gameSettings.xml path if you need to go back to the 4.x branch for any reason.

What's New?

  • CHANGED : Total re-write of the backend event handlers - allows for some more little QoL things that weren't possible before
  • CHANGED : Multi-version mode is now always on, in preparation for FS2025.
  • ADDED: FS2025 Initial Support
  • ADDED - inputBinding.xml management

  • Mod detail didn't open for 25
  • Changing the active collection for anything other than 22 was not working.

This is the very first alpha of 6.0.0, featuring the new rust based parser.

Things in this are very rough, this is for power users only

I cannot stress enough how rough some of the edges are on this. Also, it will break your cache - you need to MANUALLY clear your cache when installing this, and if you downgrade, you need to do the same.

Provided there are no show-stopping bugs, this will be the final RC for 5.0.0 - Expect release sometime this week, or early next at the latest. We've been kicking around updating the how-to videos, and may want to release both at the same time.

  • add verbosity when MA can't find gameSettings.xml (visual feedback too)

  • add some more stuff to the jump list (Right click in task bar)
