This is (hopefully) the final release for the workshop on january 8th
where all provided feedback has been used to improve the slides,
exercises and content in general.

The installation and menubar problems regarding the emulator have been
largely addressed, but some troubleshooting steps have been included in
case you may encounter problems.

If you are attending the workshop right now, make sure you download the
workshop (either the .tar.gz or .zip) and the roms.zip files. If you
want to have the User's Guide and Programmer's Reference Guide as well,
download the guides.zip file as well.

Thank you for attending the workshop and follow me on github or star
this project if you liked it or if you want to provide feedback. If you
didn't like it, fork it and improve it ;)

First preview release Pre-release
Pre-release

All presentation slides, exercises, hints as well as answers are provided (answers and hints are Dutch only).
Make sure you read the introduction of the exercises in order to properly setup the emulator and make sure you can save and load programs if you want to save or load data!

**NOTE: linux users also need to follow this setup guide for VICE: http://iseborn.eu/wiki/index.php?title=Ubuntu/Install_and_set_up_VICE **

Please bear in mind that:

  • Some text on the slides does not fit properly and I'm aware of that.
  • Additional exercises can be looked up in the official manual (links pending).
  • This is my first workshop and this is more or like an experiment.
  • I am certainly not a C64 guru, but I know a little bit about hacking on the C64.

Thank you for trying out the first preview and I'm happy to receive suggestions and feedback to improve the final workshop.
