I was doing a race in TLaD when suddenly the right speakers of the headphone broke. It played a constant high-pitched sound instead of sounds happening in the game.

I found this video of a guy with the same issue, but it happened with the left speaker and it was in IV. The sound is also a lower pitch.

The speaker only breaks when in the game. You can alt-tab to another window, play a youtube video and you'll see that your audio device actually works fine, but it will break when you play GTA IV again until you quit and reopen.

I don't know what causes this to happen, it seems random. Maybe a certain broken sound happens or the game breaks the volume.

Latest Steam Version.

Might be related to broken audio files, are you using radio restoration mod?

Yes, I use "radio downgrader"

https://github.com/Tomasak/GTA-Downgraders/releases/tag/iv-latest

IDK if the radio downgrader and the radio restoration mod are the same thing. The one I linked is the one I used

Combined EFLC radios, pre & post-cut songs and beta songs restored

Sorry for late reply

does it happen on all stations or only some?

It might be caused by RPF overwriting the BEAT 95 and The Classics 104.1

I do not know. I haven't reproduced it yet and wasn't aware about it possibly being certain radio stations.

I don't have access to my PC until monday since i'm in another city, so I really can't test until then.

So far its my theory, since i run into similar issue when trying to replace songs with one with PS3 lenght, i might go and revert to replacing full RPF for those songs and stations if you get to confirm it happening only on those two radio stations.

It also might be corrupted radio station audio files, i was told by original author of exteded LCHC mod.
