Status bar observations

I don't know what you guys have planned for the status bar, so I'll just comment on the current status.

• Printing the status text on top of the rectangle beside the barberpole looks weird:

I'd say, remove the rectangle beneath and just print the status text directly in front of the barberino.
The text should also be right-aligned and truncated in the middle if it gets too long.

• The status text says "Building / Finished building ", even if you're "cleaning" the project.
• If you don't have more things to put into the status bar, you may want to consider moving it to the top left of the menu bar. I think it could also be smaller. Mockup:

This would save a bit precious vertical space.

The rectangle is the BBox which groups the two views. For some reason it looks weird for you (I guess font size ?).
For now it's pretty basic, yes. Should show "cleaning", etc.
@nexus6-haiku would be a fan of putting the status bar into the menu bar :)

@Freaxed mentioned putting more stuff into the status bar, like LSP status, etc.

My Haiku wears a Noto Sans, size 14, FWIW.

Moving the status notifications into the menu bar works best for transient info, I guess, not constant display of a status. I don't know what kind of info LSP would have. Is it something I'd be interested in while coding?

Weird, I use Noto at size 16. But I'm using the flat control look, maybe that's why it looks different

To be honest, I never missed the info what is being build. Probably because my projects are all so small that I don't have to wait long to need a reminder... :)
Are you sure that indicator is needed? Maybe an animated "Hammer" icon in the Toolbar is enough?
Personally I don't even need that. I have the output always open so I see the build log scrolling by. And I know it's still building something as long as the "Hammer" is disabled.

Actually, I think I wanted an indicator since I started using Genio :)
I don't have a clear idea about what to do with the statusbar, let's experiment a bit and see what we come up with.
