Does StreamChatSDK support having tabs at the top?

Hi, I want to ask if stream chat sdk supports tabs at the top of the screen like the following (i.e categories of chats sections designs):

Hi @muaviyaijaz123!

You can embed multiple ChatChannelListVC into those tabs, but the tabs don't come out of the box with the SDK, you will need to implement it yourself.

what i would like to know is that is there any way we can update our query and pass it to controller after controller is created? A kind of refresh for controller before reloading the data.

here i am getting pinned channels custom logic in extraData. so later i pass this array to query out the channels. it works fine no issue but problem comes when i removed a channel and list wont update itself so to update my controller i would like to recall the query with update array.

@SSaleemSSI I see... understand now, thanks for the video! The problem is that you provide the exact channel ids you want to be in the query, so even if you removed the pinned_channels that doesn't get updated because pinned_channels comes from the User extra data right? The channel list doesn't know about user extra data updates, that is why you don't get updates.

Let me check what can be the best solution for this problem, and I'll come back to you ASAP.

@SSaleemSSI So the backend doesn't support this at the moment out of the box. I think the best you can do right now is change the extra data implementation. Instead of having a pinned_channels in the current user data, you should have a
pinnedBy: [UserId: Bool] in the channel extra data. So this way, the channel list will be updated when the pinnedBy changes. The problem with this approach is that the info about who pinned each channel will be public. If this is a problem, right now I think this feature will be hard to implement in a proper way until the backend supports it.
