Biomes spawn in these little patches

What's the issue you encountered?

Many (especially uncommon and rare) biomes generate really wierdly. The world is full of these micro biomes that are around 20x50 at the smallest and much longer 50-ish wide snaking strips. These patches also sometimes feature wierd terrain, like a two block wide part of a hill, or cut terrain.

How can the issue be reproduced?

Start a world
Fly around and see the mess
