According to https://www.isc.org/dhcp/, ISC has announced the end of life for ISC DHCP (dhclient) as of the end of 2022. So we should move to a more up-to-date DHCP daemon like dhcpcd.

I just opened #50.

Actually dhclient does have some issues (eg #45). Replacing it with systemd-networkd seems reasonable and one less package to install.

I've been using systemd-networkd for a while now and it works just fine.
