The contourmerge plugin provides an editing mode to merge (or align) two
contours on an OSM map, i.e.
- a section of a lake outline and a section of a neighboring area representing a forest
- a section of a coastline and a section of a residential area
- two border sections
- Download JOSM
- Select Edit -> Preferences ...
- Select the Plugins tab
- Download the list of available plugins
- Search the plugin
contourmerge - Check it, click OK in the preferences dialog and restart JOSM
