LaTeX Math code highlight in html/php/vue projects

Is there a way to have the code completion, highlights, ... for LaTeX (math, tikz) in files that is not a ´.tex´ file ?

For example, I'm working on Vue and write some math using katex. It would be nice if TeXiFy could detect \[...\] and \(...\) and automatically highlight the code inside.

I think the language/plugin has to support it, I mean it's impossible to detect automatically without some hint in the code. Which we actually do use for the reverse (injecting other languages in LaTeX).

I had a somewhat similar problem a while ago. I wanted to inject LaTeX math into a string in Java, getting the math highlighting, without surrounding my string with begin/end math delimiters. So for example, I wanted that something like String math = "\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \frac{1}{n^2}"; would be highlighted correctly and support the math completion. I never got it to work though, as @PHPirates mentioned this seems like something the plugin/IDE of the host language should be able to take care of (and it wasn't).

If you happen to be dealing with JavaScript, Kotlin, or Groovy, you might be able to figure something out using automatic injection rules. By the looks of it I think you could try the generic JavaScript injection. The docs aren't very clear though, so no guarantees :p
