It sounds like a plausible problem, but how much bibtex entries are we talking about? |

Hi!
I'm using this great plugin in combination with a bibtex file exported from Zotero that is continuously being synchronised. This worked great so far with TeXiFy, i.e. I add or edit entries in Zotero and the bibtex file is automatically updated, which is usually reflected in the TeXiFy auto-completion hints almost immediately.
However, over the last few days I noticed this workflow slowing down considerably. After adding new items in Zotero the changes are synchronised to the bibtex file as expected, but they either do not appear in the auto-completion suggestions of TeXiFy or there are no suggestions at all anymore. Sometimes I also notice that tab-completion of the
\parencite
command itself takes multiple seconds. I am wondering if this has to do with the size of the bibfile continuously increasing and it having to be re-indexed every time or something along those lines?Starting a new project with a minimal bibfile restores the original behaviour. Using a smaller bibfile alongside a large one does not seem to speed things up though.
I lack the understanding of what's going on behind the scenes to investigate any further but would be grateful if this can be resolved somehow? Or whether there are some logs I can look at/useful minimal reproducible examples I can put together?
Thanks a lot
(On WebStorm 2023.1.4 with TeXiFy 0.7.33)
