To elaborate, when going adult for the first time, the game auto-equips nuts on C-left (if available), bombs on C-down, ocarina on C-right (if available), and Hylian shield (if available). If adult never equips these in the first place, the game won't attempt to auto-equip again.

If an auto-equip shield enhancement were to be made, would we always want it to be hylian shield? should child always auto-equip deku shield? if you get mirror shield before hylian shield in rando, do we auto-equip that?
