FYI Gmail-feed (https://github.com/anthon38/gmailfeed), the project source of this fork (I think), was been recently updated and works like a charm, with new kde accounts manage. |
Broken after Google stopped accepting "Less Secure Apps". See also: Intika-KDE-Plasmoids/plasmoid-ultimate-gmail-feed#32 Signed-off-by: Andreas Sturmlechner <asturm@gentoo.org>
Hi, for me everything is working correctly, because I followed these steps: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en With this 16 character password everything is working! I use Gentoo and I don't understand why masking to remove this program later... |
@elbowz Unfortunately that latest (promising) release didn't work for me as explained under this issue there. |
@Sadi58 you have right...I have just try to create a new account with the kde accounts manage and obtained your same error msg: "this app is blocked". I guess Google policy was changed |
Hi,
my gmail feed yesterday stopped working. I have latest version from git/arch.
I have gmail with 2FA but an app password set that worked for some months now.
What could I do to reset the app to a "new" state so I can give credentials once again?
I purged the app and reinstalled but nothing happened. I tried to remove manually and removed password from kwallet but due to the lack of a initial dialog I am not able to provide any credentials. App just uses the old username and does not ask for a password. Just complains that Host requires authentication.
Calling the rss atom feed in an anonymous browser session and entering my credentials returns a valid result so I suppose it's gmail-feed haveing messed up it's config.
So, how to reset it?
Thanks!
