  • GTA
    • Hosted at UTSC.
    • Lots of excitement; should be a good showing from UofT staff.
    • Good attendance from York as well.
    • Reach out to library schools at Western and UofT. Student registrations?

• New release planning - when and how to do 7.x-1.3

  • Aiming for April for the release candidate.
  • Reach out to the community for volunteers for release management.
  • dgi to identify release management requirements.
  • Maybe offer perks to people who contribute time?
  • Kirsta and Nick to draft a document with release requirements for a call for volunteers.

• Issue with no account on Duraspace (for wiki and JIRA)

  • Duraspace does not allow new users accounts to be created on the wiki.
  • Migrate the docs to GitHub? Hydra did this last year.
  • Can we have separate docs for each release? Can we generate a print version?
  • Documentation could live with individual modules.
  • Use GitHub for issue queues as well. Easier to report bugs.
  • Would be good to keep a consolidated version of the docs along with docs for individual repos.
  • Maybe use Read the Docs as a doc generation service.

• PREMIS module

  • Created by Nick Ruest, Donald Moses, and Mark Jordan.
  • Produces a PREMIS datastream for each object in a repository. Generated on the fly.
  • Creating digital preservation docs for Islandora.
  • Part of a suite of tools including Checksum and BagIt.
  • Should the preservation docs live in the main Islandora repo? Shows we are thinking about preservation.
  • Docs would be created as Drupal nodes in an Islandora installation. Maybe use Features?
