This will become the ongoing agenda for the Roadmap meetings, as I realize we will not get through all these items in 1 hour.

• Releases

  • Islandora 6
    • Release Management - meeting between Alan and Melissa as incoming Islandora 6 release management team. Melissa will do the testing in six, Alan will do the packaging. Jonathan to grant merge permissions to Alan. Currently 40 tickets open in Islandora 6. Have scheduled a half day meeting with Alan, Melissa, and the Roadmap team on October 10th at UPEI so that we can prioritize current tickets and plan the next Islandora 6 release. Email has been sent to Alan and Melissa, and meeting scheduled.
  • Islandora 7
    • Sprint communication - outcome of last sprint:

• The developers at DiscoveryGarden Inc. have just completed a Drupal 7 sprint that has moved forward Islandora 7 development. Here is a summary of some of the tasks they completed in the last two weeks:

• Islandora 7 passes the Drupal coder module.

• Islandora Core

• Collection Solution Pack

• PDF Solution Pack

• Image Solution Pack

• Solution pack installers are in place, including the framework and a more robust installer/configuration screen

• PDF and image solution packs have been enhanced to take advantage of this framework

• Audio solution pack development has begun. The player has been abstracted into another module called islandora_jwplayer. This is the beginning of a far more modular approach to viewers in Islandora. The current working code is in github, but should not be considered completed.

• Timeline - November for Islandora 6 and Islandora 7 releases. Basic Image, PDF and Audio. Book Solution pack needs to be finalized for Islandora 6 and then plan the sprint to push to Islandora 7.
