YANG

What Is It?

YANG (RFC 6020) is a data modeling language used to model configuration and state data, IETF originally designed YANG to provide a standard for the content layer of the NETCONF model. Junos OS devices support Juniper, IETF, and Open Config YANG modules.

How People Use It

Yang defines the data. It is utilized with NETCONF to make configuration changes, monitor devices, and manage the network.
