stockmarket

Python game where you can buy and sell stocks.

Installation

• Download the package
• Unzip the package
• Open a terminal
• Type cd <unpacked-package-directory>/stockmarket
• Then type python stockmarket.py
• It will save the portfolios in your home directory so that they persist between runs

Demonstration

OPEN [name] - Open a portfolio.
CLOSE - Close the current portfolio.
VIEW - View the current portfolio.
LOOKUP [token] - Lookup the current price of a stock ``token''.
BUY [token] [amount] - Buy a given amount of a stock ``token'' to current portfolio.
SELL [token] [amount] - Sell a given amount of a stock ``token'' to current portfolio.
HISTORY - Shows the latest transaction history in current portfolio.
EXIT - Exits the program
